RE: Do Rotochoks offer real extra benefits??

I have had mine for two years. They do everything listed. One tip, tires will be hot when you first put them on. The tires will cool down after a few minutes and shrink, thus loosening-up the fit. In other words, check and re-tighten the Rotochoks after a few minutes.

RE: $5 a gal for Diesel ?

Guess its time to switch to coal. They have the technology to make fuel from coal. The politicians are just to stupid to make this happen. If we did make fuel from coal, the middle east would slowly die off.
Are you ever right. We are in the strangle hold of the flat world mentality politicians. This is sort of like the band playing while the Titanic sunk.

RE: Ford 6 Liter diesel turbo motor stopping

Well, the EGR valve has been replaced on my 07 King Ranch two weeks ago and now the check engine light is back on. I guess it is back to the Ford place for another EGR valve. This is supposed to be my retirement truck. I'm wondering if I have made a big $$$ mistake instead.

RE: Have Shocks & wanting to add Equa Flex Suspension

My 5'er has shocks and I added EquaFlex. Could not tell much difference except on highways with a rough surface. Items in the trailer seemed to ride a little more secure.

RE: Ford 6 Liter diesel turbo motor stopping

I have not had this problem, but last year while driving east on I70 through Vail, Colorado, my injectors decided they were not going to keep working. I spent a week parked in the parking lot of the
Ford dealer in Silverthorne Colorado. All the injectors on the driver side had to be replaced. We made it through the high passes into Denver, then the injectors quit again. In Denver the same injectors were changed out again. On our way to Dallas on I35 , the engine started running rough again. This time, in McPherson Kansas, one of the same injectors had to be replaced again. On the way home, south of Oklahoma City, the check engine light came on. The dealer where I bought the truck had to replace the EGR valve. That was eight months ago. So far so good, however, there are no 10K passes to test the truck on.
End result, a great trip to Yellowstone and Idaho lasted a week longer then planned. We love the truck, hope the problem has been fixed.

RE: aggravated and disheartened

Gee, don't know what to say. It was in the mid 70's today in the Dallas area. The "get up and go " fever has really hit us recently. Unfortunately, I still need to pay for some of my toys, so off to DC this Sunday.
Hang in there, everything has it time.

RE: Presidential Suites Pros and Cons

We have an '06 36RLQ. There has been a few problems which the dealer and manufacture were very prompt in fixing. If we were buying new again, we would seriously consider the same manufacture.

I lucked out this time ....

Walking by my RV the other day I noticed a strange odor. Thinking it was coming from the black water tank, I open the commode valve to check. Nope,it was not the black water tank. Opening the basement, the odor got stronger. It seemed to be coming from the battery compartment. Well, being an inquisitive person, I removed the lid to the battery safety box and found the battery happily cooking away and one step away from catching on fire! I am very lucky that I just happen to be walking by the RV, otherwise the RV probably would have been toast by now.
A check of the battery confirmed it had an internal short. Well, so much for a two year old battery.

RE: HR Presidential Suite 37RLQ

We bought ours spring of "06. We love it. We have been to California, Florida and Yellowstone with it. It handles great. My TV had some injector problems coming back from Yellowstone this year which extended the trip by a week. The trailer was a topic of conversation with it being parked in the Ford dealership's new car lot for a week. I had a couple of drive-by inquires as to the availability of the trailer.

RE: Should I avoid hauling 5ver thru downtown Denver?

Went through Denver on I25 this last July. Traveled from Colorado Springs to Cheyenne. No problems. One note though, fill-up before you get to Denver. I found the filling stations (diesel) to be far between and expensive.
